The two absolute best times to fish are:
Right before you get there and right after you leave. ;D

And the classic,
You should have been here yesterday.
I use to plan out my trips to the moon and weather. I ended up fishing less that I wanted.
Now I believe the best time is when I have the time. I never have very much available time unfortunitly.

My buddy Brian Penso went over and fished the bassin last weekend and had a great time. I should have gone with him as he had a blast and tore them up. He launched at Belle River Landing

well, the way i look at it is that the "best" time is when i get to go... if you put too much thought into it, you will talk yourself out of going most of the time.... too hot, too cold, too windy, too late, too early, too rainy, etc. etc. etc. ... the fish dont leave... they are still there, you just have to learn to figure them out... they dont schedule tournaments around the weather or moon phase or whatever.... Most of the time i would rather get out there during "non-prime times" and figure them out, then on T day where ever they are at, i feel like i can get a couple...
