Well we had our Fed. Tourny Saturday and well... Lets put it this way, John you didnt miss much.. i think 11 pounds or so won it, and i believe that was either the only limit, or one of two limits weighed in... i had 1 keeper for a whopping 2.06lbs on a senko pretty early and a couple of other short fish throughout the day... i did catch 5 or 6 white bass that were schooling near me... if your looking for whites i would go to limestone now, throughout the day i saw numerous schools come up... (i just couldnt resist them for a little while) maybe some of the other guys will post on how they did... Sommerville: i left limestone and went to the inlaws saturday night for a retirement party.. well sunday morning i hit the water @ 6:15 and caught fish in the pads for a while.. there were tons in there but i had a little trouble getting them to eat, i threw frogs, toads, ribbits, pop-r, shallow cranks, senko, and finally caught a couple on a fluke... oh well... moved out to a main lake point i like and started wearing them out on cut tail worms... i ran out of 7" ones and had to go to 5" and still caught.. best 5 were in the 16-17lb range with one @ 6lbs and another in the 5lb range... i had 6 or 7 good keepers, i would have had a lot more, but i had my 9 year old daughter with me and we usually play ... "dad sets the hook and she reels them in"... well we lost several in the trade for her to reel... oh well it was fun.. was off the water about 10:30 or 11:00.

Wow sounds like a good day on Lake Sommerville with your daughter. Glad you were able to salvage the rest of the weekend. Sandy said alot of the guys were off Limestone early.

Limestone results have been posted on SE TX Div site. Wasn't a productive day for most but still sorry I missed it. Also terrible news about the bent shaft, John. Sounds like we share bad luck with outboards. Hope it works out for you in the long run. My trusty old Dodge truck died yesterday so is getting a little ER time today. Happy Fourth of July to all readers.
