Well we spent the holiday weekend at Sommerville, i got to fish saturday for a couple of hours during the middle of the day, sunday morning till about 12ish, and yesterday morning till 10:30 ..
Saturday caught 4 or 5 just keepers and a few short fish. Sunday was the same, @ 9;30 i went back to the ramp and picked up my two girls (ages 6&9) mom and her mom were having a jewelry party so i had to babysit for a few hours ... on the water... well we ended up doing more swimming than fishing... so we only caught 2 more after that... Monday, i had the morning to myself, everyone else was sleeping the night before. I finally got on them pretty good, fished from 6-10:30 caught 7 or 8 solid keepers, with my best 5 in the 15-6lb range..
thats about it.. oh yea, c-rig, senkos, jigs. nothing on a frog, spinner or top, i had one or two blow ups on a buzz bait but thats it.

I had some topwater action earlier this year on Rayburn while practicing for the first Federation tournament. My trusty old Long-A was doing the trick in 55F water around the buck brush.
After that, it's been a toad fish here and there, and one lunker lure fish. Haven't really been throwing topwater too much this year. We did manage a few on Fayette back in March on pop-r's.
