Headed to Fayette friday evening with Sandy, we fished a 4F tourny that runs 6pm to 6am... started out working schoolies they would come up in little groups and not stay up very long.. made it kinda tough and aggravating, caught 1 or 2 schooling and then just before dark started working grass lines.. caught one more, then after it got dark i think i had one more bite.... that was it... we just couldnt seem to get on them... we left @ 1:30am...
Saturday took the wife and got to the lake @ 4pm... did a little running around and a little fishing (we were waiting for the schoolies) caught one pretty good one on a crank, then @ 6:30 the schoolies started... caught 3 or 4 of them.. kinda the same as the day before, they would not stay up very long and were not in big groups... we were right next to joel, i think he was throwing a fluke, i was throwing a crank... i think i got a few more bites on the crank... but i really havent compared notes with him yet... after it got dark we fished a little more, and i caught one on a worm, then had one and several blow ups on a buzz bait... it had been awhile since i fished at night with a buzz bait so i think i probably jerked early a few times... but it was fun... Now for the lake conditions: Water-- very good, 4-5' visibility Grass -- very good, found grass out to 10' or so. temp-- HOT what else..
