Me and the wife headed to fayette saturday morning, got there just after daylight, no wind, semi clear.. great morning... first spot .. nothing. headed to another spot @ 7:30 or 8 and caught a couple on a crank and on a c-rig... rain started @ 9, went to the truck and decided to wait it out... back on the water @ 10, ran around to a few other spots and picked up little fish mostly.. left at 12.. While we were waiting i happend to run into Bill Speer, who was waiting like i was we talked for a while, he introduced me to John Clark (i think that was his name i am sorry if i remembered it wrong) anyway, after it stopped bill's customer decided to re-schedule and he left, saw john on the water and we fished around each other the rest of the morning, i have to say he seemed to be alright, i thinke he is also a guide. On another note, as i mentioned i had the wife with me, and she is rather new to fishing.. she doesnt really like to throw lures, she is more of a "cork watcher" anyway, i thought i would let her drag a cork behind the boat while i fished, i caught some craw-dads @ 2" long and rigged her up thinking those fayette fish would tear up a c-dad... nadda, didnt lose on dad all morning? who wudda thunk it... i dont get it... oh well.

Thats to bad you didn't do so well Ed. John Sparks is a guide on Fayette also and Bill Speer needed a second boat for Saturday. It's to bad they got rained out. Long drive for nothing. Note to self do not use crawdads on bobber next Saturday night
