I've owned several pre-Genmar Rangers over the years and know a little about what to expect from these boats. I must say that my newest 2004 Ranger lacks the fine detail quality of my past Rangers. I'm sure the integrity of the hull is fine, just little things that aren't quite as good. Probably has to do with being bought out by large company interested in cutting costs. Just my personal observation and opinion. Thinking hard about a BassCat or ??

My 2001 Lead Sled lacked fit & finish when first delivered but the factory took care of the issues. She is still holding up great after getting used weekly for 4 years.

I have looked at Rangers several times and had always admired they way the carpet & upholstery was nicely trimmed etc. What type of fit & finish problems were you guys talking about?

I am also interested in the fit and finish quality. I traded my 85 Ranger in on a Champion in 97 and I am going back to Ranger.
I was never dissapointed with Rangers customer service or willingness to make it right!
I won't make the change for a couple of years though, I want to see how the Z21 evolves.

When my 2001 was delivered it had several chips/cracks from riging screws & feet imprints in the clear gel coat. The front deck had a "void" in it that made a cracking sound when you stepped on it. These items were all fixed at the Ranger factory. Mike Christenberry did a fine job processing the boat & had it back to me the next day. No problems at all since the visit to the factory 4 years ago.

One (1) day turn around, that is incredable service.
Ranger has alway's received high marks from me!
I would have been suprised if the didn't take good care of you Won!

WOW good they got it back so fast Won . I called ahead, made an appointment then droped it off. It was ready the next day. Looked much better than the day Travis BC delivered it. Much cleaner! 600 mile one way trip well worth it.

Glad to hear that is the same customer service I had experienced with Ranger in the pre Genmar day's.
