Ok, we all have heard by now how KVD caught those toads at lewisville... heres the question: do any of you fish a jig-worm like that and if so is there any advice for those of us that havent and are thinking of trying it??

I use a jigworm, use a jig head with a small guard and a head that is half a ball with a thin wire hook.
You need to be able to snap it free of vegiration.
The flat side of the ball seats up to the worm head, I usually bite off the head of the worm to match the diameter of the jig head.
When I was living in California, I had to learn the jig worm, shaking and drop shotting techniques or I wouldn't catch many fish.
We also used a lot of 1/8 - 1/4 oz jigs with # 101 porks.

Yea,
I should have included that last bit. A # 101 is a tiny Uncle Josh pork frog.

My wife is a jig worm specialist but @ $4.00 a pack for 5 she is breaking me. We need to buy in bulk or pour our own. She uses them on everything from finesse worms to plastic stick baits. She fishes them mostly on 8lb line. Chad she also catches fish on the Storm Swim Shad. Most of the time she fishes the jig head with the hook exposed and she puts a drop of glue on the worm to hold it to the jig head
