ok, i promise to stop for the day after this one....
How many of you have tried these super stretchy worms like the 3X strike king stuff??
i have a little bit... mainly the flukes.. i thought they would be great fishing the birds in matagorda... you know they say 1 bait is good for 30 fish... i dont know if that is true of trout(they have teeth) but i thought i would give it a shot... i had hell getting it on a jig head... gave up and went back to bass assasins .. so never really got to try it... whats Yalls' opinion??

Hell keep posting Ed. We appreciate you participation. I have several sample bags of the 3X plastics but have never tried them. I understand you have to use special tackle trays for them and special dyes and most people go back to the old tried and true plastics. I did hear they are very bouyent though and will float a 3/0 hook

Ive used them when they first hit the market. They stick to everything. When flipping in the pads or grass, or a miss cast, they will stick like velcro..

I like the buoyancy of the baits but have not had much luck with them. The ones that I have used, like has already been mentioned, stick to everything. They not only stick to logs, vegetations, side of the boat, etc, but also to themselves. The legs on the lizard at times will stick to the sides of the body. Another issue I have with them is that you get one chance to get the hook in the right spot. Once you go through the bait, it is next to impossible to get the point back into the body of the bait and still have it hang in a natural position.

I tried them when they first came out a couple of years ago....I didn't like them. I don't like the power bait stuff either. I will stick with the tried and true!!!

I have used about every variety there is and I don't like them EXCEPT for the buoyancy they are a pain...smell funky...hard to rig...stick to themselves...won't hold "normal" dye...if near regular worms they will degrade (the "super" worms NOT the regular).
The materials comes from the auto industry believe it or not.
Good old plastic is good enough for me.
