Try this: take a small water bottle, put in a table spoon or so of "Release ME" or some other "stay alive" stuff for the livewell.... fill with water.. then freeze....
While on the water, take off cap and drop in live well... being frozen it will cool the water, and as it melts it will release the live well treatment stuff....
This should help keep some of those fish alive all day during the summer months...

Thanks Tailchaser,
I had been freezing soda bottles, but was afraid that if I opened them that the chlorine would hurt the fish.
Are you using well or distilled water?

tap water, the keep alive stuff kills the impurities in the water...

it may kill the impurities, but how would it bind to the chlorine to keep from killing the fish???
and if you've been using it w/ success, it's working!!!
