I went to Bob Sandlin every time the RedMan was there. God lake, runs east, west rather than north south. Last time I was there it held good grass...when are you fishing there? I will look at my notes and see how I can help you.
Oh yeah, one more thing...only one small ramp to launch..unless things have changed. It was backup up for a mile. I launched up lake and ran down for the start. Some guys missed their number being called.
I believe some dock owners put SONAR in the impoundment about BS (hey!) and it filtered down to BS and killed much of the garss...but that was a ways back.

Study your map and be careful on Lewisville. I have had several buddies tear up their lower units hitting a submerged bridge, a concrete wall, and a few other things. Apparently, many of the hazards are not marked and are in areas that fishermen go to.
Good luck on both!

I should be heading to Bob Sandlin in Mid Oct. I can't wait!!! I haven't seen any hazards where I'm going, but I guess that doesn't mean anything....I'll cross my fingers!!!

Dave, fished Bob Sandlin October year ago with Fishers of Men Texas Shootout and found it a pretty good lake with some nice catches on senkos along the grass lines. We had some nice stringers brought in by guys who know the lake. Have great tourny on Lewisville.

I'm not sure where many humps are...but the lake was very busy!!!! And something else....these people running the ramps sure are proud for what they charge!!! $10.00 to launch your boat, and if the vehicle leaves, guess what!!!!! Yep another $10.00. I'm in the wrong business!!!

That's pretty standard for many of the ramps around Austin too. There are even a couple that are $20. But hey, people are paying it so you can't blame the ramp guys.
Good luck Dave!

Well, I fished the tourney yesterday, got on some schooling fish early, but most were short and the wrong species. I did manage 1 fish for the tourney. What I had figured out in practice didn't hold up on tourney day. I'm not disappointed by any means, cause that one fish helped me qualify for the Championship on Bob Sandlin in Oct. It took 14 lbs to win, they earned it!!!! Thanks everyone for your support!!!!
