John, Generally speaking, the fishing was exceptionally poor. Kenny won with 5 fish, 2nd was 2 fish, and Ed got 3rd with 1 fish. Most didn't get anything, including myself. Very unusual for night fishing at Fayette. I kept lookong for you. What happened? Sandy

WOW That sounds tuff. Looks like the fish really shut down. I'm guessing the schoolies didn't really cooperate.

Sandy as soon as we past the no wake bouys I was behind everyone. When we got up on plane I started to accelerate to pass Ed when my over heat bizzer came on and shut down my motor. Everyone passed me up. Then it started again and I made it to the mouth of 3 fingers it shut down again. I waited and the motor wouldn't re-start it's locked up and I went back to the ramp on my trolling motor

Hey Guys, if each of you would go over to my Fayette site and post your fishing reports, it would be much appreciated. I know John has no problem with that as we are not in competition with each other.
You will note that recent reports have been of poor fishing whether it be day or night. We like to hear every report not just the good ones.
thanks

Sorry Bill, I wasn't thinking about fishing reports, I was more concerned about John's boat and what happened to him. I'll post something over there.

Bill what's wrong with your boat, I saw it over at Red Wing this morning. I dropped mine off to have the motor checked out. I think I filled up with some bad gasoline the other day, and it has my motor hesitating. Hopefully that's all it is, but I figure I better play it safe and have it checked out.

Been waiting for a two week window without guide trips to get some work done: Temp gauge out, three dings from way back at TomBigBee...nothing major just cosmetic, Computer is not just right...engine doesn't always start on the first crank...and it should...computer was replaced last October at a BASS Open for free but it is just not quite right.
Other than that, it is fine.

Gotcha...
Looks like they are pretty stacked up at Red Wing. I was told it would be close to 2 weeks before someone could look at it!!! If that's the case, it's not a big deal considering I probably won't get to use it for at least 3 weeks.

Yeah, RW is busy...that is the goods news. We made arrangements a month ago for me to take it in since the boat goes to Gulf Coast Fiberglass for some of the work.
Works out perfectly since I will be gone for two weeks--Basmaster Classic, Gettysburg, and Philly for a wedding.

Look under the Katy Bassmasters section for results from Fayette. I will post them all there.

Well, I can give you a report from the Austin Bass Club that fished Fayette on the 23rd. The hours were from 8PM to 8AM, Saturday night to Sunday Morning. First place was 10 fish for total weight of 49lbs, 2nd was 5 fish for 27.60, 3rd was 5 fish for 27.25. Total of 40 fish caught weighing 156.12 lbs. Two fish of 7 lbs and 7.6 lbs, 6.75 and a couple of fivers. Last year we fished just about the same date and times and we had over 260 lbs and 35 fish over 5 lbs. caught. Night fishing on fayette is awesome. I had to miss because my boat engine went out on me and my partner had a death in his family so I was out of luck.
