I purchased a new 2004 187DC / 2004 150 Yamaha V-max in February and have had problems with it falling off pad. I have raised and lowered the motor and tried several props with no luck. I had my prop worked and still did not help. Well, I finally got it fixed. I had my prop re-worked by a good prop shop and now my boat stays on pad and does not blow out in the turns. The 04 and 05 187 Champions are more bow heavy than previous models and my prop was not carrying the nose. I also gained 300 RPM's from the extra lift it gained with the added cup in the prop. I have raised my nose cone back to 3.5" below the pad and will run it tomorrow and see how it handles.

I am glad to hear that the prop worked out.

After raising my motor so that the nose cone was @3.5" below the pad the prop would slip just a little bit when turning left. I called the prop guy and told him what I had and he was not satisfied so he added some more cup to the prop for FREE and I went and ran it yesterday. WOW! no slip at all stays on pad and the lift is awesome. when I hammer down on it the boat lifts right up where it use to just fall down. Now I can say I like my Champion.

Don't think so Dave. Rich won't work on a prop that's been worked by anyone else. Robert, glad you got her dialed in!

I had Coastal propellers in Bridge City TX do the work. They are the highest recommended prop business around this area. And for good reason, they are good!
