It's a M/G , I was just puttin along , decided to move ,( not far enough to start the big motor ) put her on hi ( 82 # ) droped back to low worked fine steped on the button and nothing batt's were full of charge , I think the female plug in the dash is bad because I see a little bit of green around one of the holes . did'nt mess with it today ( lazy ) . But like Dave says , It's got to be something simple . Ant thought's

Mine did the same thing to me in two different tournaments. I'd et to messing with it and it'd start working again. Anyway, it has a 4-way buss connection under the pedal. I forget now if the red or black comes to it, but all the wires are terminated with what's called a faston lug. It's a female contact that slides over the flat male portion. More than one had been hot and loosened up. I got rid of the 4-way terminal and put ring lugs on the wires and used a short pan head screw, washers and nut to tie the wires together. No more problems.
May not be your problem, but a starting place especially if you don't have a way to troubleshoot DC circuits.

I always replace both male and female as they usually wear out about the same time or go out shortly afterwords
This way you have great connections on both end
