Lake Fork
Burnin Stump lodge
located at 9530 West 515, 1/4 mile west of the 515 west bridge.
Burnin' Stump Lodge consists of 10 units.
Full size showers Extra long beds 25" color TV Refrigerators Coffee Makers No Smoking rooms available Hot water heater in every room Covered boat parking, Tackle Shop
The Biggest draw back are not on the water and no restaurant but launches are all over the lakes and so are eateries
The launches are no big deal to me as I launch on the end or side of the lake I going to fish that day
This is a clean comfortable place to stay the owners do all the work on the place and offer discounts on staying over 3 days

Lake Sam Rayburn
Jane's Shady Acres 936-897-2962
Zavalla
Very little known place on HWY 146 and yes some of the trailers are getting old and the grounds are typical East Texas Pineywoods but the price per angler is unbeatable. Each trailer has a color TV and a full kitchen with bear essentials. Coffee pots, ovens, microwaves, shoot my favorite has a full size washer and dryer.
They have limited parking so buddy up when going there for a T. Trailers and cabins that sleep from 2 to six in their own beds. Plus that Jane is a looker!

Lake Limestone
Running Branch Marina
www.runningbranchmarina.com
Tell Nancy I sent ya!
This place is one of my favorites. It is on the very end of Running Branch Creek so always check the lake levels before scheduling. If the water is up like it is now launching is no problem and you can begin fishing good spots five minutes from the camp. The cabins DO NOT have restrooms in them, usually two sets of bunks and a full size bed. They have a separate restroom and showers that always are clean and the water get REALLY hot.
Cabins one thru four I believe are water front and I have left my boat in the water for both nights without worry. They sell gas and their new country store has all the necessities. Including COLD beer. They are tournament friendly and even share some quality crappie info if you interested. Oh yea, they do sell live bait.

Coleto Creek - www.coletocreekcabins.com - no frills smalls cabins but good showers, beds and TV. Very good prices. Building 3 additional cabins and currently have 5.
Rayburn - like Buchanan's place like Rick said above but the cabin in back of the A frame is hard for 3 guys to park boats. Jackson Hill is on the comeback too. Bassbuster Inn near the Pavillion is very boat friendly.
Toledo Bend - though Alpine Marina was really good!
Choke Canyon - Best Western in the town of Three Rivers.
Lake Limestone - J has a good one above. Also Countryside Inn in Jewett.
Fayette County - check out the cabins at Oak Thicket Park.
Gibbons Creek - Super 8 Motel in Navasota - 13 miles from the ramp. Good parking and outside plugs near the office.
Dunlap/McQueeny - Hampton Inn - I35 in New Braunfels. 3 seconds from Dunlap ramp.
Bastrop - Randabugman's house
Lake Fork - Love Lake Fork Marina - www.lakeforkmarina.com - absolutely everything you need right there.....(cept beer)......you never have to leave.

Rayburn - a couple trailers in Westwood subdivision with everything you need. There is a private ramp to launch from as well. I will post contact information later. Bass Buster inn works really well too.
Choke Canyon - regency inn is ok and has a neighboring lot with power for boats
Somerville - Super 8 in Somerville, ask for downstairs room to run power from
Coleto Creek - Darrell has it right. The Coleto creek cabins are good.
Fork - Rick Loomis' Lodge or Lake Fork Marina
Red River - Clarks Marina has a few good places for mid pool. Holiday Inn on the west side of Shreveport, plenty of parking and boat friendly.
Kentucky Lake - Mansard's Island Resort, good accomidations and good prices for all budgets.
Amistad - Lakeview and Angler' Lodge. Holiday TravLPark if you have an RV

Sam Rayburn's Mid Lake and Broaddus...
The Country Inn in Broaddus is owned by a guy named Heugater...Hue-Gator. He also has a trailer park down by Harvey Creek off 2390 out of Broaddus. The Country Inn's rooms are cleaned daily and Heugater is a great guy!
There is an old guy named John Lofton in Broaddus (I'll post his number later) who has 3 cabins over looking the lake in the back of our subdivision...very resonable rates and pretty nice cabins I am told.
Bronk Dixon has some cabins "Dixon's Cabins" down within 300 yards of Harvey Creek Boat ramp. I'll hafta get his number too...But he has a beautiful place as well.

Sandy had a beef with them last time I stayed there but I don't know what it was. The cabin we stayed in was very basic but we didn't have to walk across to a community crapper. Bill I think we paid $12 each and stuffed 5 or 6 of us in the cabin/storage bin

Herman is a cranky old geezer, very inhospitable and it'll take you 20 minutes to idle out of the 110 degree No Wake Zone that Herman fought hard to get not to mention the very dusty road getting there.........................................
Running Branch is nicer but that idling out to the main lake is terribly hot and you have to be back before dark or your gonna be a hitting stumps a lot.
Lake Limestone Marina is midlake and very easy by boat.

Burnin Stump Lodge at Lake Fork updated 7:12 AM 6/15/2008 Reply Edit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Burnin Stump Lodge at Lake Fork
we spent 4 nights at Burnin Stump Lodge the lodge has a new owner Ralph Gore, he has gone thru the place it has always been clean but as with any place things can run down, I notice some subtitle improvement new caulk and paint more convent placing of towels also extra blankets
Each room comes with two queen beds carpet in the bed area and tile in the wet areas a coffee pot and he provided the coffee just add water the rooms have a personnel icebox and each room has it;s own water heater looked to be a 40 gallon
of coarse the Famous paved, covered boat parking but I was particular pleased with the normal out side lights but when you park your boat you notice that above each boat it has it's own light also so you can get into your boxes in the dark or to keep a lighted area so the thieves think twice about it
Ralph Gore is the new owner and does all the work at the lodge super nice guy
We went fishing decided to eat lunch let the wind die down and go back out when we got back to room we found we had left the keys in the room Ralph was not there but he posted his cell phone number on his door we called he said I will be right there in about 5 minutes he came pulling up to open the door with a big smile and thanked us for staying with us
Now I know it is not on the water but with gas prices the way they are I going to trailer my boat to where I want to fish anyway and on Fork you can launch almost any where on the lake at every bridge going east and west TP&W has a public launch
he also has a BBQ area with grills for those who like cook their own food and a nice touch outside each unit you find two things a towel to wipe your boat down and logs to scotch you wheels if you want to unhook your boat
as well as the normal out side plug to plug up your boat
it is built for fisherman and maintained for us also
So next time your at Lake Fork give Ralph a yell and stay at Burnin Stump Lodge Nanda and I will be back in a few weeks

I think it's called Hermans Hideaway, not bad but kind of expensive for renting a converted storage shed. At least thats my opinion.

Sandy had a beef with them last time I stayed there but I don't know what it was. The cabin we stayed in was very basic but we didn't have to walk across to a community crapper. Bill I think we paid $12 each and stuffed 5 or 6 of us in the cabin/storage bin

I would NOT recommend Herman's. That place is a dump and I will never stay there again.

Herman's is not a 1st choice for sure: You pay extra for a sheet, no coffee facilties and you have to throw your toilet paper in a bucket! All that for aout $60 a night!!!!

I have agree on the country Inn for mid-Lake on Sam Rayburn. Really nice and helpful people. I won't go into the story but he really went out of his way to help me with a flat about 10 years ago. been staying there since then. Rooms are always clean.
